BIOGRAPHY

For a girl who grew up on the nicest side of Boston, life was incredibly different from the snow coated dreams that the never-sleeping city had promised her so long ago. Her mother, had left her behind when she was just an infant to be taken care of by her grandmother. She remembers clearly how she dropped her off with two changes of clothing and an old teddy bear muttering excuses to her distressed mother, who spent the night fighting over phone with a relative she couldn’t remember, maybe it was an uncle, or a cousin, maybe even her father. It was all too blurry for her to put the pieces together, last thing she remembers of that day is falling sleeping inside of her grandmother’s room which smelled like naphthalene, dust and coconut. For a child it was scary to be without her mom, alone in a house with a relative she barely knew. But at the end of the day, it was her life, and she got used to being raised by her grandmother, spending the days baking cookies and shaking off the dust of the tiny house they lived in. Although small, it was a beautiful house, the only place she has ever since as a home.

Her grandmother worked as the housekeeper of the Saccoman’s, a friendly family of doctors who never had any kids, they enjoyed to spend their time playing chess, reading books, traveling and eating filet mignon. Even being so young she understood what working meant and when her grandmother took her with her to the house, since they couldn’t afford a sitter, she grabbed an old broom to sweep the autumn leaves off the porch. Her delicate charm and her hard working nature made the Saccoman pamper her with presents, and when she reached the age, they decided they were paying for her education. She was thrilled at the idea of going to a fancy highschool, having a locker, wearing a pretty uniform, making her grandmother proud. That’s what she had planned, her grandmother saved enouh money to get her a beautiful new uniform, ironed and softened for her to wear, the Saccoman as well made sure of giving her all they could, they had met her mother when she was young, and they knew of her wild irresponsible ways, which motivated them to take care of Zoey.

However she didn’t know how fake and devious the girls from that school could be, as soon as she walked in with that perfect long hair, source of pride from her grandmother, sweer features and neat uniform, everyone assumed she was an heiress, perhaps the daughter of a politician or a lawyer. Far from her humble reality where she was nothing but the grandchild of a working class senior, who was dealing now with her daughter’s mistakes by taking care of her, of Zoey. When the girls found out of who she was, she was target of some severe bullying, at the end of freshman year, she was too scared to get up and go to school witht the fear of those kids being cruel to her, she felt recented towards everyone since she wouldn’t have suffered so much if she had attended a public school, with people she knew wouldn’t bother her just as much. She hated those republican robots that always had too much hairspray on and tried to rock those fake tans in order to look more similar to the school’s queen, Scout Frazer. The reason why Zoey hated Scout so much, was because Scout’s mother had hired her grandmother for a season after she decided to bring more maids in, it was a crowded house, that was before Zoey even thought of moving in with her grandmother. The story her grandmother told her was that Mrs Frazer loved to put her help down and humiliate everyone in her house, incluiding her. After resigning, she didn’t even bother in paying which almost made Zoey’s grandmother lose her house.

Zoey was aware of how cruel and indolent rich people from Boston could be, how they ruined lives without even flinching, for that she already hated Scout, a girl who had never spent a day with hunger, thrist, pain or need. All of those kids were so blunt and stupid, complaining over how shiny they cars’ paint was or how their nail was broken, when she had spent days eating once to make the food last long enough.

Overnight her shyness turned into a thick shell of hatred and rebellion, she was the girl that looked like a Barbie, and acted like a biker. Her grandmother was always praying for her to not get into too much trouble, always sneaking out and breaking rules. She was a sophomore when she started drinking and using drugs, that’s how she met Liam Pearson, the broody child of Dr. Pearson, a psychiatrist. Liam was a rebel for pleasure and he was brooding for fun because unlike his looks and actions claimed, he wasn’t in any kind of need, he was in fact richer than many of those kids. He simply enjoyed others’ attention, and for some reason that was good enough for the rebellious Zoey. Together they decided to start a band called Sage’s Gaze, inspired by a graphic novel that Zoey was writing, about a serial killer set loose in a small town in Arizona, full of forbidden romances and many other subject that would make others cringe. She was enjoying their friendship, even if Liam could be an idiot at times.

Her personal hell broke loose when Scout and Liam began to date, how she had bought all of the false and tragic backstory he had made up about singing for money and living in that torn up building where most of the parties were held. Zoey couldn’t believe how she was naive enough to believe Liam could be poor and study at that school, when she said it to Liam he responded with a cruel “Well, you attend this school and you don’t have a spot to fall dead on. How would you explain that?”. Months passed and she noticed that during prom Scout had ran to the bathroom, and she locked herself in. After hearing her throwing up and then crying, she knew she was pregnant. It was confirmed to her when her parents shipped her all the way to London to keep people from finding out. Secretly she was glad she was gone, she wouldn’t have liked to see how dark things got later.

Life on Campus

During her first semester at Dumort University, Zoey didn’t have enough money to pay for her loans and sometimes even transportation, one of those nights she and the irresponsible Liam played at a local club, a man approached her telling her he could help. So she started selling drugs during her shows to get some cash, which worked. Before she could tell she was getting a regular income by selling all kinds of toxic substances. But things went wrong.

This was named Gustavo, was a party guy so as she was, but he was as stupid as Liam, just as abusive towards everyone. One night they got into a fight, and Zoey tried to get back at him by replacing his cocained with pure heroin, took one blow for him to fall shaking to the floor, dying minutes after. Zoey fled the scene and felt her heart pounding hard, it was something else besides being nervous, something had been triggered deep inside of her. She didn’t know she was born a werewolf, the gene was triggered when she killed Gustavo by making him overdose on purpose. Her first changing was almost too painful to cope with, when she woke up at the supernatural clinic she knew life as she knew it was gone for good. She turned aggressive, impulsive. Finding comfort only in getting high since the numbness controlled her impulses, and that was what she was looking for. It took no time until Liam came forward and told her he knew her secret.

Except he didn’t help her, no, he made her life a living hell. By the time Scout had returned she had spent six months without talking to Liam, however she wanted him to know of his baby, and she visited him at the building one night. He made himself clear and said he wouldn’t take care of the baby, it was not his problem. Zoey was not surprsed to see Scout had followed her, and was waiting for her outside. The night after she was called from him saying he was picking up some drugs from her apartment and that he was paying, she agreed for the money and let him in. But a fight broke loose as soon as she saw he carried a weapon, he said Scout wasn’t ruining his life, Zoey was high and began to fight him, making a mess out of the place, she lost control of herself at the idea of Liam kiling his ex and his own daughter to keep his rockstar status. When she realized what she was doing it was too late, she had already slipped his throat open, and he was long gone. She isn’t even sure if she was in her human form or if she killed him with her bare hands.

Zoey called Scout and together they got rid of the body, tossing it in the woods. They swore not to tell anyone and keep their lives going pretending they didn’t know each other. The credit of his passing was given to an animal attack, since the fang print didnt’ quite seem to belong to a wolf which means she was in a semi-transformed form when she killed him. She is terrified before the idea of people tracking the murder back to her.

At the current time, she lives a comfortable life, after selling the rights of her graphic novels she earns enough money to live without worries, having a penthouse at the most luxurious building in town. But Zoey, doesn’t do it for the money, she does it for the isolation it brings. The Graphic Design major decided to go by the Zeta, to leave her past behind since she shares name with her fleeting mother. And tries to forget the fact she has killed, twice.
