The lobby had slowly emptied with what few students were on campus and Viktor was left scrounging for his belongings that had somehow scattered across the room. “Where is my…” Of all things, he couldn’t find his phone. Surely someone hadn’t stolen it from him. “Fuck,” Viktor bent down and began looking at floor level. He heard footsteps on the other side of the couch he was looking under but heard them stop as they reached him. “What,” he snapped, hoping to laugh later when he discovered no one was there.
It was far too quiet, and therefore, Zoey detested it. You couldn’t blend in if it was quiet, and right now, she was in a very loud sort of mood. She’d been back on campus for a full week and already she couldn’t wait to go back home. She had to be sneaky here, and that was something she didn’t have to do in her apartment.
