“It’s one of my many talents.” she said with a smirk, looking back down at her phone, finishing off her message. “I think he might need some new pants with the way you just scared him off. Kid needs to learn to grow a backbone.” Sitting back, she eyed the woman curiously, wondering just why she had gone off like she had, “Did you think a get out would have sufficed?”
“Obviously not,” came her response. It wasn’t as if she hadn’t tried that. In fact, that had been among one of the first things that she had said to him. That and ‘What the fuck are you doing here?’ Zoey was known for being extremely pleasant company. In any case, it had been a while since she’d been able to scare off some unknowing chump. Turned out this day was going better than she had expected. “Why are you here again?”
