“Something else? How did I manage to get so lucky?” she teased, pushing herself into a standing position, “More party favours?” she asked, starting to open the top drawer. “I can’t tell you how glad I am that someone shares my love of extracurricular activities… Thought I was going to be quite bored this summer…”
She knew what would be inside that drawer. A couple of disused pens left behind by the last room occupant that they hadn’t bothered to throw away or take with them; her cigarettes; and if memory served right, some kind of painkiller. Maybe she was missing something…
“Oh please, if you’re bored, you can go down to that lame as fuck job fair or whatever they have going on in this place.” Now that was something Zoey hadn’t paid attention to. She more or less had to sneak off campus every time she wanted to leave, lest she got dragged back into the building to get signed up for some internship or another. No fucking way was she going to let that happen. “I’m not here to entertain, I’m here to accompany you while we get pissed drunk. Not the same thing.”
