Joseph felt a tiny smile play against his lips as he pulled his phone free only to see Zoey’s name. He was expecting some annoying text or little teasing comment about the time they had spent together. 

His mouth went dry as he opened the message. She had said that she had a bad phone for the time being, and from the camera… he couldn’t argue otherwise. After the initial shock passed over him, he found himself questioning why he’d gotten the pictures.

Was it an accident? They weren’t preceded by any message or anything. Or maybe they were meant for him to see… 

He shrugged after a moment and quickly saved them to his phone for later use.
