A hand ran through her hair as almost all of her messages came in at once. Stupid, fucking Android phone. It was a resilient block, she couldn’t deny that, but it was also incredibly old, and she was starting to remember why she had replaced it in the first place. The messaging system was iffy and she received all of her texts about twenty minutes after they’d been sent. And don’t even get her started on the camera.

“Read, read, read, not read but I’ll get to that one later, read, read — Joseph?” Zoey narrowed her eyes, a small smirk pulling at one corner of her lips as her thumb swiped over the screen. “Holy…” 

She was speechless. Her lashes fluttered as she blinked and a light chuckle left her lips in the form of an exhale. When Joe had said that he didn’t text, she didn’t think that he meant it like this. It was one of those moth-like moments where she wanted to look away but found that she was unable to do so every time she tried. Was she licking her lips?
